One box, one rate — a multi-piece order is charged the largest box plus $5 per additional item, not a separate fee for each. Sets always travel together in a single crate.

Every original comes with a certificate

1/1

Each acrylic pour ships with a signed certificate of authenticity. It’s a single card, and it carries:

  • —The title, exact dimensions, and canvas shape
  • —Materials and the varnish used
  • —The month and year it was poured
  • —A catalogue number that matches the number written on the back of the canvas
  • —A statement that it is a 1 of 1, and will never be issued as an original again
  • —Signed by hand — not printed

Sets ship one certificate per piece, so the group can be split between rooms — or eventually between people — without any of it losing its provenance. Keep the certificate with the piece; it’s the record if you ever insure, resell, or pass it on.

Prints don’t get one. A print is a reproduction and is labelled as one — putting a certificate on it would muddy the only thing the certificate is for.

Living with a pour

Each canvas is sealed with a UV-resistant satin varnish, so it can take normal room light indefinitely. Keep it off a wall that gets hours of direct afternoon sun and it will outlive the wall.

Dust with a dry microfibre cloth. No cleaners, no water, nothing with solvent in it — acrylic stays slightly soft forever and will take a mark from anything aggressive.

Shaped canvases arrive wired and ready to hang. Triangles hang from a single point; the crate includes the hardware and a diagram for sets.

Returns

Thirty days from delivery on everything. What happens after that depends on one thing: whether the piece can be made again.

Prints

  • Changed your mind? Send it back within 30 days, no explanation needed.
  • Arrived damaged? Send a photo and it’s replaced or refunded in full — you don’t need to send it back. A damaged print is no use to me and I can simply print another, so posting it across the country helps nobody.

Original pours

Different, and not because I’m being difficult: there is exactly one of each, so a damaged original can’t be replaced with another.

  • Changed your mind? Thirty days, same as prints — but it has to come back in the crate it arrived in. Keep the crate until you’re sure.
  • Arrived damaged? Photograph the piece, the crate, and the shipping label before you move anything, and keep all of it until we’ve sorted it out. The carrier may want to see it, and packaging that’s already in the bin makes a damage claim much harder.
  • Then it’s a full refund, not a replacement, because there isn’t one to send. If the damage turns out to be repairable and you’d rather keep the piece, say so — a partial refund is usually the better outcome for both of us. Don’t attempt a repair before we talk; it can void the claim.

Sets come back complete. There are no partial returns on a set, since breaking one up is exactly what the set pricing exists to prevent.

Imperfect pieces are returnable too — but not for the flaw already listed on the piece’s page, since that flaw is what the reduced price is for. Anything not on that list, or any damage in transit, follows the original-pour policy above. If you want closer photographs of a flaw before ordering, ask and I’ll send them.

Questions

How long until it ships?
Prints go out in 2–3 business days. Originals take a little longer — each one is crated to fit, so allow 3–5 days before it moves.
Can I buy one piece out of a set?
Yes. Every piece in an original set is also sold on its own. Be aware that once one leaves, the set can't ship complete — so if you want the group, take the group.
What is an “imperfect piece”?
A pour that came out flawed but still worth hanging — crazed varnish, a thin patch, cells that never opened. Every flaw is written out in full on the piece's own page, and the price reflects it. They're still genuine 1-of-1 originals, signed and certificated. See the imperfect pieces.
What happens if an original arrives damaged?
Photograph the piece, the crate, and the shipping label before you move anything, and keep all of it — the carrier may want to see it, and packaging that's already been thrown out makes a damage claim much harder. Then it's a full refund — I can't send a replacement, because there is only one. If the damage is repairable and you'd rather keep it, a partial refund is often the better answer; just don't attempt the repair before we talk.
Why are the return policies different for prints and originals?
Because a print can be made again and an original can't. A damaged print is no use to me, so it's replaced or refunded without you posting anything back. A damaged original can only be refunded, and sorting that out depends on the piece and its packaging still being there to look at.
What if I lose the certificate?
Email me the title and the catalogue number from the back of the canvas and I'll reissue it. Every certificate is logged in the studio, so a replacement is straightforward — it just gets marked as a reissue.
Do the prints look like the originals?
Close, and honestly labelled where they aren't. Pours are photographed under raking light so the cell texture survives, but a print is a flat surface and an original is not. Nobody will mistake one for the other in person.
Is the discount stackable?
The mix-and-match print discount applies to prints only, and set pricing on originals is already baked into the set price. They don't compound — but you can have both in one order.
Do you ship outside the US?
Not yet. Everything here is priced and packed for domestic shipping. [Update this once you decide.]
